Newtown Porchstock

Porchstock is a FREE, walkable music festival held on front porches, front yards and driveways throughout Newtown Borough.

The event is a way for local bands and musicians to showcase their talents and the community to come together and celebrate Newtown.

During Porchstock, participants walk between houses at their own pace, stopping to listen to various musicians along the way.

Attendees can bring their own folding chairs, non-alcoholic beverages and snacks to enjoy. They’re also encouraged to have a bite to eat at any of the Borough’s restaurants.

  • 32 South Chancellor Street - The Monaccio Boys (Originals, Covers…Violent Femmes, Bowie, etc.)

  • 211 Washington Avenue - Jennie Luhman (Piano Tunes)

  • 208 Washington Avenue - Matt Dorsey (Originals, Covers)

  • 116 North Chancellor Street - Brian Dale Allen Strouse (Originals)

  • 152 North State Street - Meg Russell Music (Folk)

  • 220 Washington Avenue - Blue Cosmic Riders (Classic Rock)

  • Court Street & Centre Avenue (Boone Garden) - Fever Swamp (Finger-Style Guitar and Vocal Duets) and Bill Mylchreest/Nina Sherman/Roe Hess (Classic Rock, Folk)

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • No streets will be closed during Porchstock. Please do not sit or stand in the street at participating locations.

  • No open containers of alcohol are permitted.

  • Porchstock homes are not open to provide bathrooms. Please plan accordingly and patronize local eating and drinking establishments before, during and after Porchstock.

  • There is no rain date. If the weather looks dangerous, the event will be cancelled.

  • Porchstock is an all-volunteer event. Please consider tipping the musicians.
